About Allwick Patterns Ltd - Engineering Patternmakers in Kent
Allwick Patterns was established in 1982 as a high precision, engineering pattern - making facility, for both general engineering and automotive restorations.
The company soon established a reputation as a quality pattern maker and the business grew.
Initially, patterns were produced by traditional methods in wood from 2d engineering drawings by our skilled pattern makers. Today these skills have not been lost, but we use them alongside our modern methods of production. Using CAD data and CNC machines.
We are a very customer focused Company, many of our customers have been with us since we started. The Company and our skilled staff are proud of the work they produce and the reputation they have gained for service and product supplied.
Our years of experience have enabled us to develop the knowledge of the most cost effective ways of production, whether it be for a large production run or one off prototypes. We are always happy to discuss this.
We are able to accept instructions either from traditional 2d engineering drawings, or most forms of CAD data, either be email or disk. We operate Catia v 5 systems and run three CNC machines, the largest having a maximum capacity size of 2 metres
If in the case of a restoration piece where drawings no longer exist we are able to produce patterns from castings supplied.
We have close links with a number of foundries, and are able to produce the pattern tooling in accordance with the metal specifications required, whether it be for aluminium, magnesium or iron castings.
